Find relevant datasets

This section explains how to find a relevant dataset and reach its dataset project in ANC GitLab.

For detailed instructions on how to use the ANC Data Interface and Neurobagel Query, see the Tools section of this handbook.

ANC Data Interface

Use the ANC Data Interface to browse or search curated ANC datasets.

The ANC interface includes:

  • datasets with assigned DOIs
  • curated datasets that do not yet have a DOI

Open the website of the dataset you want to use by clicking on the dataset title.

Neurobagel Query

Use Neurobagel Query if you want to search for cohorts based on phenotypic variables.

Neurobagel currently includes only ANC datasets with assigned DOIs. It is therefore a complementary search option, not a complete list of all curated ANC datasets.

When you find a relevant dataset, follow its Homepage link to its ANC dataset website.

Continue from the dataset website

On the dataset website, check the dataset access.

If the dataset is open, follow the link to the dataset project in ANC GitLab. Then continue with Download datasets.

If the dataset is restricted, continue with Requesting access to dataset. After access has been granted, use the link to the dataset project in ANC GitLab and continue with Download datasets.
